Greetings everyone!

I wanted to share yet another student teaching update with you as I progress through my time here at Knoxville High School. After a couple of weeks of observation and learning how things operate in Mr. Heetland’s classroom, I am beginning to become integrated into giving instruction. For now, it will start off slowly. I will simply be taking over rehearsals for “My Girl,” which will be performed by the concert choir, and “When I Fall in Love,” which will be performed by the chamber singers.

Speaking of “When I Fall in Love,” we will hold auditions for the mezzo-soprano solo during Thursday’s rehearsal time. Even if not selected to perform the solo, the audition experience is always valuable to come away with, so I would encourage anyone and everyone with an interest to audition.

That should be all for now. I look forward to sharing more updates in the coming weeks!
